When I recently bought a new scanner I decided it was about time that I got together some of the old photographs and scan them into my pc. The selection below is just a few of them, Strangely it is very difficult to find pictures of my father who seems to have been very camera shy.

Memories of a wonderful childhood

1. Me and My Grandparents.jpg (44024 bytes) 2. scan.jpg (1407341 bytes) 3. Me with Santa.jpg (117855 bytes)

2. Such a cutie!
3. Looking happier than I apparently was

Degree Day

scan0001.jpg (930955 bytes)

Sitting for my degree portrait - the degree in my hand was actually a piece of University headed notepaper wrapped around the tube from the inside of a roll of kitchen towels - the actual certificates were late arriving.

At Work

Small Me.jpg (12372 bytes)

This is the photograph from my first work security card. It was in the late 1990s that they introduced these cards.

My Mother

1. Mum as a Toddler.jpg (738094 bytes) 2. Mum as a Child.jpg (80092 bytes) 3. Mum as a Teenager.jpg (209841 bytes)

1. As a toddler     2. As a teenager     3. Around the time she got engaged

Wedding Memories

1. Gwen's Wedding 01.jpg (270350 bytes) 2.Dennis's Wedding.jpg (309522 bytes)

3.

1. Aunt Gwen marries George Griffin (my mother is the bride's maid on the right)
2. Uncle Dennis marries Lily Stocker 3. Mum and Dad

On a sad note - all three of these photographs are taken outside the door or St Margaret's, the Parish Church of Ward End. Due to a lack of congregation, the Church of England decided to close it down. The last service took place on 16th October, 2004.
