A Ranma ½ Fanfic Matsunori Chapter 1 - Letting Some Things Go by Kris Thompson This is a work of fiction based on Rumiko Takahashi's 'Ranma Nibun no Ichi' a.k.a. Ranma ½ and was created for the author's personal enjoyment. Notice: This story is slightly on the 'lime' side, which suggests at sexual behavior, but it is not explicit. If this sort of stuff bothers you, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER! You have been warned. The next day, Genma told Ranma that they were moving back with Nodoka to help the Tendos out financially. "But Pop!" Ranma started. "Son, you'll understand someday," Genma said sadly as he, Ranma and Nodoka stood in what used to be the Tendo's guestroom. Genma picked up his bags and left the room, leaving Nodoka and Ranma alone. "I don't understand this! Why are we leavin'?" Ranma asked. Nodoka closed her eyes, opened them and placed a hand on her son's shoulder. "Son, we do not want to be a burden on the Tendos. They do not need it now. It is better this way. You are eighteen years old, and have been here for two years now. It is time to come home. It is much easier for both Soun and Genma this way." Ranma sighed. "Okay." he said, dejectedly, his thoughts on a certain tomboy he hadn't seen in quite a while. --------------- One week later, Soun was put into the hospital, not expecting to ever leave. --------------- "Please Akane," Kasumi begged from the other side of the door that had the duck nameplate on it. "Come see Father." The door opened and Akane stepped out. "Okay, Kasumi. I'll go." Her oldest sister smiled slightly, something she hadn't dome in a while. "Oh, Father will be so glad to see you! He's missed you so much since the last time you went." Akane wasn't listening. She didn't want to see her father really. The only reason she was going was because she couldn't stand to hear Kasumi beg her to. She didn't want to see Tofu's proof that her father *was* dying. 'He's not dying,' Akane thought to herself, trying to sound convincing. 'He's not gonna die; he can't. We still need him to much.' --------------- Genma, Nodoka and Ranma walked towards the hospital that Soun was staying in. "Is Akane gonna be there?" Ranma asked nonchalantly. "I believe so, Son. You miss her?" his mother inquired. "Well, it's just that I haven't seen her in a while. That's all." Ranma said. His mother smiled. "Of course, dear." --------------- When Akane entered in the room, she barely managed to stifle a gasp. Her father lay on a bed and had all sorts of tubes and monitors surrounding him, he hardly looked human anymore. Nabiki pushed her stunned sister into the room. "Akane..." Soun whispered painfully. "Oh, Dad..." Akane choked out as she lightly hugged him before pulling back as Kasumi and Nabiki moved in on their father to welcome him. Akane went and sank slowly into a chair. She barely noticed that the Saotomes' were sitting opposite from her. 'This is a dream... this can't be happening... God, no, *please* don't let Dad die... Please, please, please!!!' She leapt up and grabbed Soun's hand. "Daddy, please, don't go! We need you too much! I love you! I love you so much Dad! Don't leave, don't leave!" she sobbed loudly, still saying incoherent things. "Ranma, I think you should take Akane home." Nodoka advised, Kasumi looked to be near tears while Nabiki watched Akane with a shocked expression. "Uh, sure." he went around the bed to where Akane was and grabbed her arm. She turned to look at him, shocked. "Come on Akane. Let's go for a walk." Ranma said, trying to use a calm voice. "NO! You don't understand! He's- he's-" the rest he didn't understand for her sobbing. He swept her up quickly and rushed out of the room and out of the hospital, running on the rooftops of Nermia back to the Tendo home against the sunset. He entered with Akane in his arms and carried her up to her room and set her down on her bed and sat down next to her. "Oh, Ranma, I don't want him to die... I-I" she didn't finish as she burst into tears once more. He didn't know what made him do it, but he took her in his arms and rocked her gently as she cried. Soon, she ran out of tears, but she made no move to leave his arms. "Ranma?" she said quietly. "Yeah?" She looked up at him, her face very close to his, a blush creeping to her cheeks. "I - I love you." she said quietly. Ranma's eyes went wide as he leaned away from her. "What?!" She leaned forward. "I. Love. You." she whispered seductively. "And I want you." "Want me to what?" He asked, confused. Then, the light bulb in his head went off and Ranma jumped up and landed several feet away from her. "A-Akane! You - what are you sayin'?!" She still held a sensual look in her eyes. "I think you know what I'm talking about, Ranma. I need you. Now." And before he knew it, she was standing in front of him. She leaned forward and pushed up onto her toes and kissed his chin gently, then she went down to kiss the side of his neck. Ranma started to tremble, keeping his hands clenched at his sides. "A-Akane..." "Yes?" She breathed against his neck, letting her arms snake around his waist and rest between his shoulder blades. "This isn't you, Akane. Don't do this, please." Ranma begged her. She pulled back a little to look into his eyes. "You don't love me?" "It's not that..." "Then kiss me..." She said as she pulled his head down to meet hers. The kiss was gentle and sweet, just a meeting of both of their lips. She pulled away to catch her breath but Ranma leaned down to kiss her again. She parted her lips slightly, opening the invitation to him, which he gladly took. That was when the last of his resolve left him as he began to push the straps of her sun dress away from her shoulder as he kissed her neck. "Oh Ranma," Akane moaned as he picked her up and laid her down on her bed. "What about your sisters?" He said for a moment before continuing. "They were going to stay up at the hospital all night. It's only you and me tonight." She reached up for him as he laid down with her and kissed her neck. "I love you so much, Ranma." she moaned before they both gave themselves to each other. Author's Notes Well, that's about a Lemony as I go. That was hard to write (I know some of you authors are out there saying what a sap I am), but this is at a PG13 level and I intend to keep it there. Sorry for making Akane a little OOC (Out Of Character) there... she was just reacting to all the stress in her life and... well.... there ya go. I hope you enjoyed it... and sorry that the Prologue was so short. Just kinda ended up that way. Well, Chapter 2 will be out soon... I hope. I deals more with the... um... *decision* that Ranma and Akane have made in this chapter... If you liked it, email me! If you hated it, email me anyways! If you feel the need to flame me, shove a binder folder up your butt sideways and maybe that'll cure ya? Oh well, if that doesn't help, and you DO flame me, I will deal with it accordingly. ^_^ Signin' off! Krissy cartoonpaperclips@email.com www.geocities.com/kuroi_hoshi
