" The opening act, the boy band Plus One, was a harmonious blend
of five voices and fundamental faith. Their No. 1 single on the Christian
charts, ``Written On My Heart,'' was the program's highlight, a tune that
showcased the singers' ability to create multiple overtones and, of
course, to give the gals something to squeal about.
``My Life,'' ``Soul Tattoo'' and in particular, ``I Run To You,'' were
nicely done, if strikingly similar - in both arrangement and sometimes
awkward choreography - to concert moves by secular boy bands.
But, in a mature move of in-your-face faith, each of the gentlemen took
a moment to talk about their devotion, even quoting Scripture. The mostly
teen audience applauded the gestures by Plus One members Gabe Combs,
Nathan Walters, Nate Cole, Jeremy Mhire and Jason Perry - then they went
back to squealing."
