Cat Vaccine Schedule
and kitten shots

Kittens receive antibodies from their mom through the milk (colostrum) immediately after birth. These antibodies will protect the kittens for 6-8 weeks. So it is important that the mom is vaccinated so she has high antibody titers to pass on to her kittens. It is also important to start vaccinating kittens around the time that levels of antibodies from their mom are declining; kittens are most susceptible to disease at this time.
