Fear

Fear: The instinct for self-preservation leads unattached cats to avoid humans, dogs, loud noises, and strange places. A housecat, however, is normally much more relaxed and even if frightened by some unexpected event, can usually be easily quieted. Abnormal cases of inborn, or congenital, timidity are hard to remedy.
