The goal of this course is to promote your English writing skills. Assuming that you have a basic knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary (intermediate level), you will learn how to communicate clearly and effectively in writing.

 

Classroom activities are designed to give you extensive practice both in writing and in grammar. To enhance your academic writing skills, you will identify and practice individual steps of the writing process, from pre-writing to proof-reading and editing. You will learn how to develop, support, and organize ideas to write a unified, coherent English paragraphs and essays.

Both classroom work and home assignments will consist of individual, pair, and group work. In order to give you the maximum of writing practice, you will be assigned frequent homework.

 

For a successful completion of the course, you are expected to participate actively in classroom activities and to complete all assignments. If you haven't started using e-mail, now is the time to learn how. You will be asked to submit some assignments by e-mail.
