ST LOUIS, CARPENTER GEAR UP FOR STREET STOCK SERIES June 2nd will mark the start of the American Canadian Tour Tri-State Street Stock Series and Airborne International Raceway in Plattsburgh will host the series opener. Two of the series youngest drivers are getting ready to go all out in hopes of taking home the series title. Justin St.Louis of Bolton, Vt and Jeremy Carpenter of Mineville,NY have spent numerous hours in the shop preparing their cars for the 2001 street stock series. St Louis, a second year competitor in the Street Stock divison, has already had two top ten finishes at Airborne International Raceway this season. Despite having to start at the back of the pack in 28 car main events St Louis has managed to stay right in the thick of things for the Airborne track championship. St.Louis has been able to use patience and a "track smart" game plan to work his way through many difficult situations in the early going of 2001. Carpenter, a rookie to the world of street stock racing, has spent the month of May getting some important seat time behind the wheel of the St Louis Motorsports car # 3 during practice sessions at Barre, Vermonts Thunder Road International Speedbowl. Jeremy has also spent long hours helping prepare the St Louis entry for weekly competition at Airborne and Thunder Road. Carpenter will drive the team St Louis Motorsports team car (#31) in the four series races and the annual Milk Bowl in September. The A.C.T. Street Stock Series, is a traveling road show that visits Airborne International in Plattsburgh, Thunder Road in Barre, and New Hampshire's Canaan USA Speedway and Riverside Speedway in Groveton. Over 50 of the best drivers from New York and Vermont are expected to try and qualify for the first leg of the series on Saturday June 2nd. MEDIA CONTACT: MSM SPORTS msmsport@westelcom.com |
