Days Of Loneliness
You told me that you have changed, You promised me you'll love me differently this time, You said you couldn't live without me, I took you back into my heart, But it wasn't like I had forgotten you completely. Days of waiting for you, Nights of starring at the empty room, I was waiting endlessly for you to say you're sorry, So I could take you back, Take your love into my arms, My heart blinded me when I believed all the things, That you told me. When we finally started over, When things were picking up between us again, You once again left me broken hearted, You broke my heart and walked away again. You left me with the pain of yesterday, And the pain of today like a recurring dream, I felt I wad reliving those memories once again, When we finally could start over. I didn't know whether it was you that hurt me more, Or it was my own foolish dreams with you, That hurt me more, I told myself I would never take you back, But my heart never worked with my mind, No matter how badly you treated me, I waited and waited for you all over again, Maybe your love was more important than the pain itself, Even if the love only last for a few special moments. |
