Forever Waiting
All the long years together, I thought you would have more than enough to say, But you walked away, Without saying a single word goodbye. All the laughter we shared, I thought there would be a smile on your face, When you think of them, But all I could see in your eyes was the word “goodbye.” Looking at you I felt nothing was there with us, I felt you so far away yet our eyes were starring at each other. I wished with all my heart, For an explanation on why you had left me, But all I found was the silent, The emptiness of losing you, The emptiness of our love, There was nothing of me in your heart. I could wait forever, I could wait all my life without loving anyone else, I could wait and wait forever, But you would never find me the same way, You could and would never love me the same way. The passion was dead, And it could never come back, No matter how much I want it to. |
