Going Back To Yesterday
It’s too late to go back to yesterday, We can look at each other all night, Under this candle light, But like the fading candles, Our love will soon die out. I cry deep inside my heart, Feeling the pain of losing you, Whatever has happened between us, I would truly want to work it out, But I know you have decided to go. I can’t stop you, I can’t ask you to stay, Because your heart no longer belongs to me. I just want to look at you forever, To remember the face one last time, Before the light fades out, And only darkness will be left, The last time together is so painful, No words left for us to tell each other, The words ‘I love you’ now feels, Like a knife piercing through my heart. Tomorrow I will laugh again, But I just don’t know if the laughter, Will come from the happiness, Of my fulfilled heart, Or it will just be a false laughter, Trying desperate to hide the pain, Of the long lost love. |
