Hello Goodbye
I saw you standing at the end of the road yesterday, I wanted to walk over to say hello, But after the first step I took, I changed my mind because I didn’t know, What you would say once you saw me, I knew I had so much to tell you, But when I took a second look at you, The smile faded from my face, I had nothing in my mind to tell you, Maybe it was just the pain I had inside, The pain that you left me when you said goodbye. What was left to tell you, I asked myself over and over again, You probably didn’t want to see me, You probably didn’t want to talk to me, Your love for me was all yesterday, Maybe that was the reason why you left me in the first place, Your heart had parted away from mine, You no longer could be the one that love me, Like you did those many years together. I felt the tears filling my eyes, As I stood there and saw you kiss someone else, I wanted to let out all the years to let those happy days go by, I wanted to cry for the final time to say goodbye to yesterday, To say goodbye to you, But I just turned and walked away, Walk away from the lively pain, Like you walked away on me that very day. |
