confetti flying
all over the stage
a million paper somersaults
are waiting for me
and I ask you why this matters
and all the little people
with thier creases and thier folds
are dancing to the beat
that life has handed them
I watch them learn how to manuver
thier legs through the hoops
thier rips and tears barely noticible
and I ask you why they even care
and all the litte people
with thier creases and thier folds
are dancing to the beat
that life has thrown at them
and the little paper circus calls my name
and screams at me to let them out
of the backdrop they're encased in
and the glitter they are covered with
Confetti lying
all over the stage
and a million paper somersaults
are waiting for me
and I have to ask again why this matters
