As the twilight of the evening
falls across the sky
And clouded shadows disappear
deep into the night ~
As the colours of the sunset
fade to blue and grey
I come home to my sweet love
at the end of the day.

I can feel the warmth of heaven
as I open up the door
Enveloped by a cosiness
that I've always felt before ~
Greeted by her tender kiss
and the warmth of her embrace
Makes me feel that on this earth
there is no better place.

As I hold her in my arms
enveloped by her love
She's everything that I need
and all that I dreamed of ~
And everytime I look at her
I see her beauty
And thank the Lord that he bestowed
this special love on me.

I hold my hand out to her
with a loving smile
Just knowing that I come home to her
makes life so much more worthwhile ~
She gives me more than I deserve
her love completes my life,
The epitome of pure beauty,
my ever-loving wife.

I cannot imagine life without her
she's the essence of my soul
She is the wind beneath my wings,
and her love has made me whole ~
She gives me strength and wisdom
and everything I need;
And every day I'm grateful
to her, for loving me.

Hand in hand and heart to heart
as we journey life together
So thankful for the love we share,
for it is like no other ~
Coming home there is no place
that I would rather be
Than in the arms of my wife,
who means the world to me.

"This poem is dedicated to my brother and his wife.   At the end of the day he never grows tired of coming home to her, of telling her how much she means to him, of being thankful for all she is and has given him.   At the end of the day, no matter what kind of day he has had, he never grows tired of spending quality time with her.   At the end of the day, one can see his devotion to his wife and family ~ he never grows tired of being the family man, and in love with the love of his life.
Hand in hand and heart to heart, may the love they share be for a lifetime....and at the end of they day, may they never grow tired of coming home to each other."
