they teach us how
to live
We learn from their
examples
to take or to give.
Families are so precious
they give us what
we need
To sustain life's
little tests
with careful words
and deeds.
Families are for sharing
life's difficulties
together
Feeling secure in
such love -
helping one another.
Families are for loving
they're about togetherness
Listening to each
other's needs
showing tenderness.
Families encourage
us
give us strength to
see
All we desire for
our lives
and how we wish to
be.
Families come together
amidst all our despair
Reassurring us of
our worth
expressing how much
they care.
Families are forever
even when they are
apart -
Always there for each
other
remaining close in
heart.

This poem is dedicated
to my family! The greatest!
This poem is about
what families are meant to be. I know that not all families are like this,
setting good examples for their children, and that is sad. I cannot imagine
what it would be like, as I was fortunate to have a loving family - and
I still do.
