Freedom
to Believe
See the
tears fall down her cheeks
attacked
for her beliefs
The
freedom to share what doesn't offend
is not
freedom of speech ~
In a
world that sees other religions
and
beliefs we must respect
Therefore
the choice we choose to make
is one
everyone should accept.
The Truth
she chose to follow
and
feels a passion for
Writing
to encourage those who
may
not have heard before ~
The
reason for the words she writes
her
message full of love
Comes
from deep within her heart
sent
from God above.
She understands
that others
may
not share what's in her heart
But
if she can just plant a seed
then
it would be a start ~
Showing
them a kindness
even
in the face of hate
Is an
example of the strength
powered
by her faith.
It pains
her to see the world
put
their trust in the stars
To help
them see what is to come
and
what these changes are ~
But
the Bible is specific
that
no other man will see
The
future is in God's hands;
and
only He can see.
In a
world where divination
and
all kinds of spirit forms
Are
accepted as freedom of choice
and
a part of the "norm" ~
Where
the Bible is just a history book
claimed
as inaccurate
Full
of rules and do's and don'ts
don't
lead to Heaven's gates.
As tears
fall in her breaking heart
she
feels so passionately
That
she must speak out about
this
new craze of sorcery ~
A child
who is a wizard
the
new hero of children's books
Accepted
in homes throughout the world
without
a second look.
This
new subtle acceptance
is an
age-old deceit
Where
fantasy and evil
are
of the same belief ~
Like
halloween, it is thought
to just
be make-believe
But
the danger lies well-hidden,
and
its purpose, to deceive.
Whether
it seems like harmless fun
the
Bible speaks definitely
That
no one practise divination,
black
magic or sorcery ~
And
no matter how it's packaged
it is
witchcraft just the same
And
it just breaks her heart to see
that
it's God who gets the blame.
She's
spoken out about halloween
and
this Harry Potter craze
But
the reality behind the myths
will
live beyond the phase ~
For
no matter how it's sugar-coated
it's
not just fantasy
And
she is ridiculed for the truth
that
they don't want to see.
She is
told that she is evil
and
that Harry Potter is good
They
compromise what she believes
by thinking
that she should ~
Threats
of a libel suit
if she
does not remove
Her
beliefs and opinions
because
the world disapproves.
There
is the freedom to believe
as long
as it doesn't offend
The
people who disagree
with
the messages it sends ~
But
God is faithful to those
who
are faithful unto Him
By making
them heirs to His Kingdom
that
only they can enter in.
No matter
what we believe
there
can only be one Truth
And
though everyone has the freedom
no one
wants to choose ~
For
many of those who take offence
they
ask us to respect;
But
the choice that we are FREE to make
is one
EVERYONE should accept.

"This
poem talks about our freedom to choose our beliefs ~ and specifically my
own freedom of beliefs, and the attacks on me I have experienced as a result
of what I believe. Many people believe in the freedom to choose and
the freedom of speech, as long as it doesn't offend anyone else!
That, in reality, is not freedom of speech. It appears
that we only have freedom of speech and the freedom to believe and choose,
if others agree with us. Our freedom of speech ends when the
world dispproves. I have been the victim of many people abusing
me for my beliefs because of things I have said and they do not agree with
me. That is their right to believe what they choose (I have said
all along), just as this is my right also. I only speak what
the Bible says about things specifically, and I am not attacking people
personally. It is a cry of my heart....people can either accept it
or reject it. I accept that many have different beliefs than
my own ~ that is the freedom to choose and freedom to believe, though it
may not necessarily be true, it is their belief and their right.
Just remember, somebody else's beliefs maybe just as passionate as your
own.... And I just want to show God's love for them through me.""
