In
the Arms of an Angel
(In
Remembrance)
Cherished memories,
remembering her face
Her smile and her
zest
has gone to another
place ~
Someone so special
enveloped by love
Has been given her
wings
to fly to heaven above.
Tributes in flowers
but pain in the heart
Of those left behind
so torn apart ~
Though words cannot
measure
the depth of your
pain,
In the arms of an
angel
she will always remain.
Grieve for her memory
now that she's gone
Into the heavens
to a new life beyond
~
Her zestful character,
a memory to hold
Close to your hearts,
is more precious than
gold.
A mantle of pictures
that behold her face
Smiling with love
that can't be replaced
~
Grieving for memories
of what used to be
Will live in your
hearts
for an eternity.
Though now she has
gone
her memory remains
Although life without
her
won't be the same
~
Like the touch of
her hand
with her breath in
the wind,
In the arms of an
angel
she now rests in.
With one final tear
as she closed her
eyes
She reached our her
arms
and grew wings to
fly ~
The comfort and knowledge
that her pain has
now ceased,
In the arms of an
angel
she is now at peace.

"Although I had written
another poem with the same title about five weeks ago, as my husband's
Nan died two days ago on 28th October, I thought it would be a lovely thought
to write a poem in her memory for the funeral. The title 'In
the Arms of an Angel' I decided would be a lovely thought, adding 'In Remembrance'
as a tribute. I rang my mother-in-law and asked her would she
like me to read out a poem I wrote, and she thought it would be lovely
and was touched by my thought. The funeral is tomororrow (31st Oct.),
where I shall read it then."
