Come with Me a moment
in peaceful solitude
Listen to the stillness
of this quiet interlude ~
Hear the gentlest whisper
of My still small voice
Come, rest in Me awhile
and feel your heart rejoice.

Cast your cares upon Me
I will bear your load
If you will only tell me
of what troubles you so ~
Come, tell Me of your hardship
share with Me your pain,
Trust Me with your worries;
I'll make you whole again.

Give to Me your burdens
leave it in My hands,
And let me guide you safely
into your Promised Land ~
Trust Me for an answer,
My timing must be right
To give you the desires
that I have for your life.

Come to Me, my child,
and I will give you rest
Emmerse yourself completely
within My stillness ~
I am the Living Water
that flows within your heart
And I will cleanse your spirit
with a grace I will impart.

Close your eyes, abide with Me,
immersed in My embrace
Feel My love surround you
and fill you with My grace ~
Listen in the stillness
as My spirit fills your soul
Cleansed with Living Waters,
I have made you whole.

Revel in the tranquility
feel My love transcend
Its everlasting beauty
on which you can depend ~
The presence of My spirit
in the Living Waters flow,
My timing is always perfect
more than you could ever know!

There is a River of Life
that flows within your heart
Where My everlasting love for you
has been from the start ~
I am the Living Water
that cleanses and purifies
You are My child and I love you,
you are perfect in My eyes.

Rest within the waters
of peaceful plentitude
Enveloped by My unchanging love
as you wait in solitude ~
Feel Me in the stillness
as I lead you by My hand,
Remember, My child, I love you
and I'll always understand.

"This poem speaks of God's timing.  It speaks of His love for us.  It speaks of His cleansing of our souls, and the solitude and peacefulness as we wait on Him.  Jesus is the Living Water, the one who fills our souls and cleanses and purifies us and our minds.  His love is unchanging and everlasting.  And no matter what we do, what we think, what we say, what we feel ~ no matter the mistakes we make in our daily lives (we are, after all, human) ~ no matter how many times we sin and say "God, I'm sorry"....His love for us is unchanging and everlasting, and never fails!  This poem is a reflection of prayer.  It is a reflection of a stillness as we sit before God, immersed within our Living Water.  It is a reflection of God's desire for us, whether we see it or not.  One thing we all tend to forget, is God's timing.  When we pray for something, we tend to want it now!  We want an answer now!  But the time may not be right.  God's timing is perfect, and only He knows when that will be.  We need to be patient.  We need to develop a passionate patience, and continue to trust God, through faith, for His perfect timing and His plan for our lives.  He, after all, has the best for us.  We need only wait."
