and smile so wide
Light up the day
and touch me inside -

Your excitement
when I open the door
Wagging your tail
and holding your ball -

Jumping up on me
and wanting to play
Your nose nudging me
in your loving way -

Though just as content
with pats on the head
And rubbing your belly
and keeping you fed -

You always enjoy
my company outside
You love to be with me
to be by my side -

And the times we go
for your walk in the park
You show your excitement
in your happy bark -

At night you have
your own comfy bed
In which you will settle
after you've fed -

And I'm so happy to share
my life with you
And unconditional love
in all that you do -

This is written about my beautiful dog, and loving companion. A Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Australian Red Heeler, she is ever-faithful and loveable, and loves people!
