Springtime

Springtime beauty cascades
in a flowing waterfall
With the sheer sweet-smelling essence
and wonderment of it all ~
The perfumes of the forest
life's sweet purity
Enveloped by the stillness
of nature's deity.

Channels of crystal coolness
flow into the glen
Giving life to other wonders
that beneath the waters swim ~
While the sun's pure radiance
bestows another day
Of God's refreshing beauty
in each and every way.

The aroma of the springtime
fills the mountain air
With floral bouquets and vast pines
abundant everywhere ~
As the echo of the birdsong
is heard within the trees
Nature's beauty tends to her work
in the whsiper of the breeze.

The sheer swiftest movement
of a passing butterfly
Fluttering with the wind
she silently passes by ~
Flitting through the forest
she stops, so very still
And hides herself in nature,
in the essence of tranquil.

Calls of the wild in the forest
echo all around
As the bee tends to her flowers
without the slightest sound ~
Sifting through the bouquets
she gathers all her pollen
All in a day's work
she busily had gotten.

The breath of life abundant,
the perfumes in the air,
The echoes of the birdsong
that is heard everywhere ~
The trickle of the crystal stream
to a cascading waterfall
Surrounded by floral splendour;
God created it all!

The butterflies of nature,
The honey-suckling bees,
The floral bouquets that yield
the aroma to the breeze ~
The essence of the springtime
the sweet-smelling tranquility
Is seen all around us
in God's wondeful beauty!

"This poem simply describes the beauty and the wonderment of God's creation.   We see it everywhere we look!   In the birds in the trees, in their beautiful song, in the butterflies that flit through the breeze, the bees that gather pollen from the flowers to make honey, the flowers abundant in numbers, the sweet perfumes and aromas of the stillness, tranquility and floral bouquets....to the cascading waterfall and rockpool glens.   Where ever we look, we see God in His awesome creation!   My husband and I went bushwalking on Saturday just gone (4th January, 2003), though not one of my choice hobbies, we did see some beautiful scenery and waterfalls.   Of course I vowed never to do the walk again, as it tired me so much being a steep incline with many steps back up to the top, but it was indeed beautiful and will long be remembered for the spectacular views and scenery.   It is here that we see and remember God and His awesome power ~ in His creation.   This poem only touches slightly on the wonderment of His beauty we see every day.   It speaks of only a part of the beauty, a part of the wonder and a part of the awesomeness!   I could not capture the full beauty and awesomeness of God if I tried ~ only He, in His abundance, could give us that....and He has.   Just look around us everywhere, and you will see it.   God is everywhere.   In the trees, in the birdsong, in the flowers, in the bees, in the butterfly, in the sweet perfumes of the air, in the cry of a new-born baby, in the stillness and tranquility, in the coolness of a cascading waterfall....He is in all creation and its beauty.   I call this poem "Springtime"  because that is when the essence of nature comes alive ~ in the springtime."
