Love's Tender Touch

Love is sweet surrender
whenever I'm with you,
You ignite my soul with passion
and fill my heart anew ~
The allure of your beauty
permeates my soul,
With the radiance and splendour
of the love that's made me whole.

Love is soft and tender,
a gentle afterglow,
A passionate interlude
with you, I've come to know ~
Wrapped within the arms
of your warm embrace,
With you I feel secure
and in no better place.

Love is warmth and beauty
within your loveliness,
In the eye of the beholder
of your pure elegance ~
Captive of the essence
of the love that beckons me
As the thought of us together
lasts for eternity.

Love is sweet and gentle,
the purest of its kind
Enveloped with a tenderness
of body, soul and mind ~
Blessed with love within me
I gently take your hand
Declaring in a moment
what I'd hope you understand.

Love is a warm desire,
a soft and gentle touch
Full of burning passion
that I want to feel so much ~
I wonder if you feel it
with the touch of my caress,
For whenever I am with you
it always feels like this.

But love is more than passion
or a romantic reverie,
More than the taste of a kiss
or a velvet touch could be ~
For beyond the sweet surrender
is the warmth and beauty
Of a longer-lasting tender love
that will be for eternity.

Love is a sweet emotion
filled with tenderness
Permeating through your heart
into a happiness ~
Enveloped by a love
that is pure, gentle and kind
Becoming one together
in body, soul and mind.

Love's tender touch of passion
this gentle kiss we share
The thought of you fulfills me
just knowing you are there ~
This love we share together
within our reverie
Captive of the tenderness
that lasts for eternity.

"This romantic poem is about the beauty of love and romance.  The sweet gentleness, the emotion, the warmth, the beauty and the tenderness, as well as the sweet surrender of passion and desire.   It also says that beyond all the passion, kisses and tender touches is a warmth and beauty of love that always remains and lives beyond anything physical.  It says that there is more to love than passion and desire, and that passion and desire are not the foundations of true love.   What it does say is that love, in all its gentleness, tenderness, kindness, sweetness, loveliness, softness, grace, purity, warmth and beauty, lasts for an eternity."
