Sunset Waters

Waters gently lapping
a stillness in the air
Reflections of the sunlight
as it slowly disappears ~
Shaded hues of dusky red
brightly fill the sky
A majestic wonder all around
we somehow can't deny.

Beauty in abundance
shadows in array
Illuminated splendour
at the end of another day ~
As the sun falls to the sea
swallowed by the night
Brilliant shaded colours
light the fire in the sky.

Sunset waters gently
lapping at the shore
Reflecting in the beauty
one just can't ignore ~
Omnipotent Creator
in all His majesty
Designed this sheer magnificence
for all of us to see!

Oh, majestic splendour
a beauty to behold
Such abounding wonders
are seen as life unfolds ~
The intricity of colours
shaded in the hues
Traced by Your own gracious hand
that shrouds them in perfume.

How did You master the brilliance
when You traced Your hand
Over the Heavens and the earth
and then creating man?
How did You breathe Your life within
the sun, the land, the trees;
How did You kiss the mornings
with Your whisper in the breeze?

How did You create the splendour
and colours of the sun
Shading the sky at morning
and when the day is done?
How did You mesh the vast array
of stillness in the hues
As sunset waters reflect again
the majesty of You.

Oh Lord, in Your sheer brilliance
Your omnipotence is seen
As the stillness of Your beauty
surpasses any dream ~
How can one look at a sunset
and still do not believe
In the power of Your majesty
and divine reality.

The brilliant sunset waters
lapping in the mist
Touched by Your own wonder
a breath in the stillness ~
As the colours gently fade
to the horizon far beyond
Slowly meshed within the night
now that the day is gone.
