Lakeside reflections
corners of the heart
Shaded hues so golden
enveloped in the arms ~
Skies are crisp with shadows
mirrors the sunlight
As a sweet array of beauty
fills me with delight.

Water lapping gently
a peacefulness abides
Within the heart so golden
I feel intensified ~
Tranquility in splendour
in wonderful array
Is born out of the beauty
I find here every day.

Close my eyes in solitude
and slowly drift away
Embraced within the stillness
I gently float away ~
Listening to the echoes
of splendour from the skies
As birdsong brings a melody
in which reflects new life.

Golden days on sunset here
lakeside in the heart
God's rich and graceful majesty
a love that He imparts ~
For nothing cannot touch me here
within my solitude
As I find rest within my soul
in this golden interlude.

Time enough in busyness
reflect upon a cause
Grasp for understanding
despite battling with life's "oars" ~
Find a place of solitude
deep within your heart
And rest within the Father's love
so safe within His arms.

The golden pond of His love
embraces us with care
Always in our times of need
we'll find He's always there ~
And through the shadows in the skies
that threaten us with storms
Still the golden grace of love
will always keep us warm.

Close my eyes to everything
reflect now where I've been
Dream of all life's challenges
for nothing's as it seems ~
Listen in the stillness
so immersed within the depths
As living waters of the soul
this golden pond reflects.

Gentle calming of the soul
rest in the stillness
Listen deep within your heart
to hear Him richly bless ~
A golden heart embraced with love
to find where you belong,
A journey of a thousand roads
leads back to golden pond.
