Daylight Dreaming

I Walk into the summer grass
Revel in the colors brushing past
Kissing butterlies one by one
Skin glistening in midday sun
Clouds dancing as a storybook
Shapes talking for those who look
Ears fill with hot day sounds
As footfalls bequeath the ground
The insect quartet plays along
To the meadow lark's vibrant song
Heady be the air to breathe
Slower my pace I now do weave
'Til in flowers blue and purple and wild
I lay me down carefree as a child
Who dreams of princes and fairylands
Far away dragons and treasures in the sands
Cooler, now cradled in Mother Earth
Smiling inward to retouch those times of youthful mirth
I truely discover what I am here to find
All the time, without time, in centered mind
My travels can take me anywhere
Rich and fulfilled from my comfy chair...
