elemental bonds

you touch me as
the smoke is chased
and kissed by the flame
eternally renewed
yet each moment fleeting
swirling, airborn
to heights of clouds
magic night
mists merging
magic flight
and again we find each other
in a cold night's wind
forming unique as snowflakes
floating down
living life in a whispered breath
to bond in a river's flow
water swirling
dancing us
dizzy in love
we find roots so deep
and sink in the soil
aahh the rich Mother
sends us to our journey
many twists
'til a narrow branch accepts
i as a leaf and you a flower
gently we sing
the song of carefree days
'til we again enter the Mother
as i nurture your seed
fallen by your side
protecting
and giving of myself
together we form deep roots of our own
many suns touch us
we dip moonbeams upon our limbs
and remember as we drink
the water
and snowflakes
fall upon our hair
moments still themselves
just a bit more
longer
smoother for these days
yet we still age in glory
of the day
comes the time of change
as we decide to no longer drink
to pass to
the next journey
and so in the circle of life
of harvest
'til again we feel
the warmth
the glow
and the dance
of the flame
you touch me...
