Mystic Powers
A pair of eyes stare from a velvet chair
Seeing where you go before you are there
Soft tipped ears so acutely fine
Hear sounds from nowhere and before their time
Agility and grace often exhibitionally shown
Yet can quickly vanish in areas well known
Their mystic powers can comfort or defy
Depending on whether one is enemy or ally
What powers of worth we could find
If we could reach the depths of a cat's mind
