          ~Now is the time~

          We watch the news every day
          and all they ever seem to say
          is catastrophy, hunger, war and drought
          will all these problems ever solve out?

          And here we sit with drink and food
          and all the spirits in great mood
          we surely don't have anything to fear
          and we don't have to shed a tear.

          Now is the time, on Thanksgiving Day
          our deepest sincerest thanks to say
          and appreciate what we have got
          because many think we have a lot.

          For the unfortunate ones we pray
          that the pain and hunger will cease one day
          that the world will be a better place to live
          and that all can enjoy what Life has to give.
