~~~A Blade of Grass~~~
By Heavenglows
 Tender is a blade of grass without a root,
Slowly fading back, to its withered color of its natural root,
Gracefully light as a feather,
Is a single blade of grass
Though there are many types,
and many sizes and shapes,
All grass is green, and grows this way,
Not one blade of grass, is the same as another,
Hard to pull up, when taken by the root,
Who is to say, which blade of grass is better,
or which blade of grass you adore.
Not like the roots of a tree,
growing deep and strong, and miles long,
It is all grass with very tiny roots.
Even though they all have very tiny roots,
Put them together,
and they grow side by side and long,
spreading out, covering all of the fields,
But, one blade of grass,
Will wither away,
Not reproducing, nor growing strong.
If the grass were all God's people,
Living now and before,
Would we treat them any better,
or the same as before,
Would we pull them by their roots,
or plant them deep in the ground,
Would walk beside them,
or would we walk around,
or would we help those roots,
that needed to be found,
Would we help that grass grow rich and green,
Planting the smallest tiny little seeds,
How we would treat them,
as a root of a tree,
or walk around them passing them by,
ask that question,
is the grass greener on the other side?
Do we keep on looking
for greener blades of grass,
or would put up a sign saying,
"Don't walk on the grass",
Simply, plant those tiny little seeds,
and they will grow together,
as tiny as they be.
