As the new shot out into the town
Of the ending in the Great Struggle
A young, tattered woman awaited anxiously of news of her spouse.
Her heart raced as she thought of telling him
About her newly found knowledge.
He'd always wished for a baby,
And now he'd learn of his wife,
Whom was four months pregnant with his baby.
The man's younger sister sat impatiently,
Constantly nagging about his returning home.
His sister and he had been widely open to each other, and very close.
They both leaped when they heard a loud pounding on the door.
When they arrived there in aghast,
They hurridly twisted the knob.
There stood a small, plump man
with a very serious look to him.
As he slowly told them the news dealing with their beloved
Their hearts sank.
A look of disgust filled the sister's face,
And of hopelessness unto the mate's.
Sleep was unheard of from then on.
Joy was taken, and depression placed in it's spot.
Throughout the town the news spread:
The Baby Born To Deceased Father.
