Grey Rose

Slowly dripping away a bloody pool
of rosey color drains away into a
lifeless grey, wilted grey rose a
shadow of my shattered soul littering
the sheets of my rumpled bead
slowly falling apart a rotting corpse
a shell consigned like me by you to
a personal hell.

Discarded I lay my darkness spreads
and covers the sheets like a rose
colored life ended by you with the
cruel stroke of a wicked knife free
of regret you walked away leaving
a corpse behind to fade to grey
a soul bleeding its life away.

Grey rose crumbling, old and dead
like the soul you left behind you
when you walked away a deceased
unreleased, unresting hole in the
Universe my undead soul. You thrilled
me while you slipped in the knife and
kept me busy while you stole my
life and now you're gone and here I
lay a murder victim in the cold light
of day.

My murdering sweet you were such a
treat even when I knew you didn't
care your hypnotizing eyes burned with
lies and I believed you. That mistake
was my last I'll never love again you cut
my heart out when you left stuffed it
in your luggage and took it home stuffed
and mounted on your trophy wall with
all the rest nevermore to roam.

You tossed a rose upon my grave and it
bled in grey streaks as you walked
away a monument to me lifeless grey
rose a sign to the foolish of where they
can end lined up next to me your harvest
of hearts drips bloodily upon your floor
for your appetite how many more will
fall until finally you rest upon the
wall
