Tarot: Fortune or Lesson? |
This beautiful world that God has given us is full of mystery and secret corners, but there are hints and directions to learn and he only shows this to those who seek, (remember the elect). All knowledge is not for everyone, there are many that cannot even glean the simplest of understanding from the Bible, the Tarot is much like that. Those that read the cards for prophecy may not be aware of the deeper meaning associated with the Tarot. Using the Tarot as a means for reading the future is all they are capable of seeing. But does the Tarot really read the future? Isn’t it true that ALL lessons are for our future, and that there are many experiences (good or bad) in our past? We have all had financial, emotional, physical and spiritual difficulties and will continue to have them until we are called home. So when you think of the Tarot, perhaps think of each card as a chapter in a book that guides you to deeper knowledge of yourself, the universe, a closer look at the secrets God have placed here for us to glean from. Whatever you chose to call it, "Karma" "Spirit" "Angels", whatever guides your hand to choose the card, just remember that we are to learn from the selection. Our ability to learn from the lessons in our lives is the guide for our future. Remaining Prayerful, Sis. Joyce Reaves |

One thing to consider in discussing the Tarot, is that the Tarot is very old. Also that the Tarot was never really intended to be used for the stuff they use it for today, for instance the television personalities. *smile* The Tarot isn't even so much for prophecy as it is for enlightenment. The Tarot doesn't REALLY tell the future, when a card is selected the "karma" (for lack of a better word) that helped you to select that card is teaching you a lesson. Yes, that lesson can probably be directed at any particular circumstance that is going on in your life at the moment, but what lessons have you ever gotten that weren’t, see what I mean? |
