Only a fifth-round draft pick in 1996, Kreis has become one of the top attacking players in MLS history … Known for his blistering freekicks, the 1999 MLS Honda MVP is the Burn's all-time goals and assists leader … This season he became the second member of MLS' 50 goals/ 50 assists club … Kreis was the first American to win MVP honors in the same year ('99) he became the first to register at least 15 goals and 15 assists in one season … In three MLS All-Star game appearances ('96, '99, '00), Kreis has made one start, scoring a goal at Giants Stadium in 1996, his rookie season.

1997: Finished the season third on the team in points with 22 (8 goals, 6 assists)...was the only Burn player to appear in all 32 regular season games...scored the game-winning goal at New York (9/16)...scored two goals and assisted on the game-winner vs. Colorado (8/31)...registered assists in consecutive games (7/6-7/13)...

1996: Led the team in goals (13) and points (31)...finished the season tied for seventh in the league in goals and tied for ninth in points...Dallas was 11-0 in games in which he scored a goal...was named the MLS Player of the Month for July after scoring five goals in the month and leading the Burn to a 5-2 record...tied team records for most goals in a game with two and most points in a game with four after netting a pair of goals against Los Angeles on July 17 and against D.C.
