Background

William was raised on earth. Nothing to special his father was honorably discharged from the Marines after loosing a leg. His mother was sweet and loving. When William was in high school he found what he thought was the girl of his dreams. But when Senior year came around and William decided to join the Marines she didn't enjoy that at all. They ended up splitting up and William didn't even think about her until recently.

Service
Record

William majored in Battle Tactics and Stealth. He received many awards for his grades, but he also excelled in the field. He was the sharp shooter for his class 3 of his 4 years there. He also showed the ability to lead missions with great success. His first assignment after getting done with school was one with on of his professors that had took a liking to him. After a few months there he was re-assigned to the Endeavor as a sergeant. After his Senior officer had been called away and no-one was in control of the Marines. The XO put William as aCTO. After XO was promoted to CO, William was then promoted to 2nd Lt. and give command of the Marines.

Other
Data

William does know his far share of programming. He was able to create his own training sim, which he likes to run just for the fun of it from time to time. William can be found in the Holodeck training or playing basketball in his free time. He can also be found working out. William has problems communicating with females, so most people don't find William in the mess hall when there are a lot of people there.

Name: Benjamin Bridgeford

Rank: Warrant Officer

Position: Marine

Played By: Lee Bridgeford

Current Assignment: USS Endeavor

Background

Ben was born on the temperate, forested planet Solus 4, a Federation colony in the Solon system. His mother is Jennifer Gateman, and his father, Alexander Bridgeford. Although they were married for a short time, his father longed for space again, and soon left the two on their family farm when Benjamin was 3.

Ben was raised by a retired Star-fleet marine, Jeffery Bates who had settled in the colony and eventually married his mother. He grew to love Jeffery like a father, but was never adopted and retained Bridgeford as a last name. Family is very important to Ben, one of the many values instilled by his stepfather.

He farmed with his family and did local and intra-system deliveries in a small shuttle to help his mother, building and flying craft in his spare time, but his true calling was a warrior's life. When he came of age, he joined the Star-fleet Marines with help from Jeffery.

Service
Record

Ben progressed at a steady rate through the ranks. His request for personal fulfullment turned him from the officer path, however, and he opted to proceed as a warrant officer (or Gunny, as they are often called). He requested a warrant for Tactical and Weapons, he longed to be a tactician and studied well for it. However, it was not so and he was given a warrant to be a Marine pilot, to transport troops to and from battle in any conditions. It was his second choice and his background made him perfect for it.

While he underwent the training for his path, he opted into the Marine Martial Combat program. Marksmanship was admittedly not Ben's strong point, they were too impersonal for him. He shot well just enough for the Corp. but he preferred hand to hand combat. He rose to the second degree of ten in black during his training and soon saw more combat in the Dominion War.

All battles leading to this were simply skirmishes with few rewards. The Dominion War was truely the Marine's time to shine, and Ben's as well. He was often deployed as infantry as a side to his transport duties. His days were mostly spent defending colonies on the Cardassia Border, and he recieved Medals of Honor for his tactics and service during the battle at Ardjen colony and Severin Colony just Kilometers away from the Cardassia Border and served as a tranport pilot in the recapture of DS9 when the ground troops invaded. He also served as transport and infantry to the invasion of Cardassia, and returned wounded from that battle. He recovered quickly, as he usually did, and proceeded to the next assignment.

After the war it was back to light duty, transporting troops to and from battles on short deployments to combat vessels. The last such mission being on the Paladin and now his redeployment to the Endeavor for an unspecified length of time.

Other
Data

Benjamin is well-suited for a Marine lifestyle and takes it very seriously. He has always admired the traditions and values of the Corp. and strives to uphold them.\

He doesn't hesitate to stand up for himself or his platoon and always asks questions. He is outgoing for the most part, and generally see's the good in people. Because of that, Ben has never fostered the disdain most Marine's have of those outside of the Star-Fleet Marine Corp. and gets on well with most others.

Current Assignment: USS Endeavor

Background

Phil was born on Earth, however the family moved around with his father's assignments. His father, a former bandsman in the Marine Corps, taught Phil to play the Tenor Horn from an early age and had always expected Phil to go into the Starfleet Corps of Music. Phil proved a prodigy on his instrument and was accepted into the Academy before reaching the minimum entry age of 16. Very little was known about Phil's personal life, other than he had never had much social life because of the pressures put on him to perform well in his music.

Service
Record

Phil joined the Starfleet Corps of Music aged just 15. After his Phase 1 training at the Academy, he undertook his Phase 2 and 3 training at Kneller Hall, the Starfleet School of Music. Upon graduation, Phil was transferred to the marine corps as Principal Horn player for the Band of the Light Division, where in 2 years he was promoted to the rank of Corporal. He continued to serve for a further year as Assistant Bandmaster.

During the Dominion War, the Mobile Infantry were called into combat, resulting in their band being disbanded in order to serve as Medic Support Officers. Over the course of the following 2 years, Hewson received valuable combat and medical experience and was promoted to a full Field Medic.
After proving his leadership skills on the Steria IV ground assault, Phil was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and served as Squad Commander for nearly 5 years, receiving numerous commendations and a promotion to Staff Sergeant. Over the next 2 years, Phil found himself training Field Medics that had transferred from the Starfleet Medical Corps how to survive and work in combat situations.

On Stardate 04052.4, Hewson was one of 6 marines to survive when their pick up boat was shot down. There were concerns from a number of counsellors as to whether Phil was fit for duty or not. After being cleared for duty, however, Phil did not resume service in the Marine Corps.

Phil accepted a transfer to the Starfleet Academy as Chief Medical Officer aboard the USS Columbia. Phil only served there between Stardates 04080.3 and 04121.1, when he transferred back to the Marine Corps bearing his current rank of Sergeant. After serving on a classified assignment aboard the USS Paladin, Phil was transferred to his current position aboard the USS Endeavor.

Other
Data

Very little is known about Phil's personal life, he keeps himself to himself and lives for his work. There have been rumours that he had been secretly courting a marine, but this has never been confirmed.
