What I Think of Newbies

Newbies are cute. They really are. That is until they act really stupid. The newbie motto of this century is, "We Don't Act Like THEM *points to old wpr*. We are nice." Some other newbies like to say, "We are mean and we are more truthful than anyone. ALL BOW!"

*insert sigh here* Seriously. Why are the newbies pressured to say these things? Can't they just skip the little rant against the old WPRs?

And they also complain about why the old WPRs don't like them. "*whine* Why don't you love me? What do you have against my bright neon blue text on my tiled background of George W. Bush?" Most people would say, "Why are you a webpage reviewer when you don't even know how to make a website?" T_T

*sits down and thinks why wprs hate newbies* Well, I think the reason why I sometimes hate new WPRs is because they come into the WPR scene thinking that they can be more superior than normal web-goers. We really aren't all that superior. We just take time to help people improve their sites. This definitely doesn't mean we are superior. We probably have the same brain activity rates and everything.

Before this article turns into rambling, although I think it already has, I'll make a list of suggestions to new WPRs.

~ Don't try to compete with other WPRs. Geez... We should be a nice community with one goal. To help people.

~ Try to have a decent design for your site, or at least organize it nicely.

~ Be truthful. Don't lie, don't suck up, don't sugar coat, don't bitch. Just be truthful.

~ It is not the quantity of the review, but the quality of the review that is important.

Ok, that was the part that newbies should have read. Now on to the old WPRs. *looks at random snickering people* Hey! Shut up! What if I'm being a hypocrite right now? I haven't waken from my "civics paper" mode. I have to write for the both sides of the story. T_T

I remember when I had first opened my WPR. *thinks* Wait... bad example. There weren't a lot of drama then. *spoooof* I remember when Starlight Reviews was open for the first time. Most of the "established" WPRs were going on and on about how we were too nice. Hm, that doesn't sound so bad, but what was bad about it was the fact that these people made "bad WPR" lists and placed all these new WPRs there. They also managed to tell everyone that these sites sucked.

I admit. We were seriously horrible: short reviews, too hyper, no help, yaddah. However, the key word in this topic is newbie. These WPRs are new. You can't expect a newborn baby to perfectly master and solve the quadratic equations. Instead of super bashing these sites, what about helping them out? If you are sooooo annoyed by their stupidity, step in and HELP them get rid of their stupidity.

There were few old WPRs who gave me really helpful and encouraging words. These words really brightened up my day and made me want to improve myself. These people are like those people you see in high school. Those who looks at freshmen and helps them through out the high school years.

SOOO~ In conclusion, newbies should try not to compete with old WPRs, and the old WPRs should help these newbies become better reviewers. Remember people, we don't live forever. Let's not waste the time bickering and hurting others. ^-^
