Review
This
book focuses on the Saudi Role in the genesis of Bin Laden’s Al-Qaeda
organisation. It puts Saudi financing of international terrorism
under the spotlight and also purports to reveal the tight links
between the Royal family and senior US politicians, including
George W Bush and Dick Cheney. Although it is an interesting read,
and some strong evidence is provided, there are large sections
of the book that rely entirely on conjecture. Nevertheless, the
message is clear: in order to secure vital oil resources, the
USA is willing to ally itself with one of the most odious dictatorships
on the planet.
