Character Analysis

Polonias- Polonias is the lap dog of the King and Queen but still has plenty of pride.  He has two children Laertes and Ophelia.  He loves his children more than anything in the world. Polonias pretty much does what ever the King and his family says.

Reynaldo- Reynaldo is the servant of Polonias and goes to bag on Polonias’ son Laertes, to find out who Laertes’s friends are. Reynaldo isn’t that big of a character in the book.

Ophelia- Ophelia is being pursued by Hamlet. She obeys her father and brother and dumps Hamlet.  She goes crazy when her father dies. She is one of the more important characters due to the fact that she tries to bring Hamlet out of his insanity.

Laertes- Laertes in the beginning wasn’t that important of a character, but as events arise with his fathers death and his sister going crazy and committing suicide he is out for revenge.  Larates ends up killing Hamlet and dying.
