Intel 2004 Facilities Voting

Stay at Twin Creeks or move back to Mission College?

Vote Here (Expires 11/31/2003):

With several teams' continued dissatisfaction with the level of service and facilities at Twin Creeks, we review the league every year to determine what is best for the Intel Santa Clara Softball League (ISCSL).  The only other facilities in the area that can accommodate the entire league are the ones at Mission College, where ISCSL used to play.

* Mission College general league rules may be flexible, as we should be able to create our own custom league rules, and those can be set to match the Twin Creeks rules.

** Twin Creeks and Mission College follow the same ASA bat restriction guidelines, but those may be further restricted per ISCSL bat guidelines.

Specific things to note:

  • Mission College is significantly less expensive, even if everybody on the team is a non-resident.  Players who work in Santa Clara (i.e., Intel), count as residents.
  • Mission College has no club house, with or without alcohol.  The closest "bar" is Togo's at Mission College Blvd and Great America Parkway.
  • Mission College would have two umpires per game to officiate.
  • ISCSL would have its own custom private league at Mission College.  This is good because league play would be exclusively between Intel teams and your co-workers.  This is bad because it could make it difficult to pick up subs for your team on-site.  This is also bad because it means leagues must be of a fixed size.  If there aren't enough teams to fill a league, the whole league could get cancelled.  If there are too many teams to fill a league, some teams could get left out.
