HA! SO WHAT'S KEITH RICHARDS GOT THAT I AIN'T GOT??
Helen met Keith Richards at Levon Helm's house in Woodstock. Helen met me when I signed up for her summer guitar ensemble workshop. Actually, I met Helen a few years earlier at an open-mic. I told her afterwards that I really enjoyed her performance. She said "Thank you". She didn't say "Thank you, I enjoyed yours as well!". Guess I didn't make much of an impression at the time. I gently chided her about this recently and she said vauguely remembered me then, but that I look different now (true, no beard back then) and that she liked my performance as well.
She lied. She's a terrible liar, but that's part of her charm. Helen is sweet enough to never want to hurt someone's feelings, but too sweet to lie with any conviction when needed. But then that's why we all love her!
