GENERAL IMPRESION : The Staffordshire Terrier should
give the impression of great strenght for his size;a well put together
dog ,muscular,but agile and graceful,keenely alive to his surroundings.He
should be stocky,not longlegged or racy in outline.his courage is poverbial.
HEAD : Medium lenght,deep trought,broad skull,very pronounced cheek
musicles,distinct stop.Ears set high.
EARS : Croped or uncroped ,the latter prefereed.Uncroped ears should
be short and held half rose or prick.Full drop to be penalized.
EYES : Dark,round low down in skull,set far apart.
MUZZLE : Medium lenght,rounded on uper side to fall away abruptly
below the eyes.Jaws well defined . Under jaw strong and to have biting
power . Lips close and even ; no looseness.
NECK : Heavy,slightly arced,tapering from shoulders to back of
skull.No loseness of skin.Medium lenght
SHOULDERS : Strong and muscular,with blades wide and sloping .

BODY : Well sprung rins,close together,deep in
rear.Forelegs set wide .Chest deep and broad.
TAIL : Short in comparasion to size,low set,tapering to fine point;not
curled or carried over back.Not docked.
LEGS : Front legs straight,with large bones and upright pasterns.Hindquaters
well musculed,let down at hocks,turning neither in nor out.Feet of moderate
size,well arched and compact.Gait springy but without roll or pace.
COAT : Short,close,stiff to the touch,glossy.
COLOR : Any color,solid.parti,or patched,is permissible;but more
80% white,black and tan,and liver not be encourged.
SIZE : Height and weight should be in proportion.A height of about
eighteen to nineteen inches at the shoulders for the male and seventeen
inches for the female to be considered preferable.
FAULTS : Faults to be penalized are Dudley nose,light or pink eyes,tail
to loong or badly carried,undershot or overshot mouths.
