Kaboom

The KFOG radio station party thing on the bay. Oh my giddy aunt did that thing rool or what? I have never seen so many bloody fireworks going off in my life, and so many ones that I'd never even thought possible. It has warped my fragile little mind. Encamped on the roof of the nearby ADIG building with beers, wine, champers, food, blankets and chairs, plus a real loud stereo to play the KFOG soundtrack to. Stamping feet to encourage the show to begin is outlawed of course, coz if everyone does it, CA might tip into the ocean. The smiley face, heart and saturn ones were the best (joking of course that the saturn ones were so big that they had to have their own ring, ala Star Wars movie revamped new versions when the Death Stars go up, Praxis in Star Trek, etc. Coz when anything REAALLY big explodes, it has to have a ring - scientific fact there, ring theory was developed by Einstein one night in a bar after he'd seen Day the Earth Stood Still with some mates. Apparently his impression of the robot from it was chillingly accurate, he also camioed in it as the PA to one of Earth's scientists while wearing a fetching poodle skirt with matching notepad and pen). The caterpillar jobs that hung in the air, and the finale had everyone yelling like idiots as they got bigger and bigger until it looked like we were going to be engulfed. Utterly sweeet. A little intro here by Erin, she's freaked by the fact that she's just put on 104.9 and its got Bryan Adams on it. Thus marking the end of another good radio station, farewell 104.9 we luvved ya the year before last, and to a lesser extent last year as well. Anyway, back to the firework report. Of course, what was the song that got the biggest concentration of explosions and wicked effects and dazzlingness, of course, it was the Ramones. Punk rock even affects the heavens above. It was cool to clear the bad taste of Sheryl (no talent can't sing for toffee) Crow and some of the other wank they played. I've never been to this event before, but damn, I'm locked on it now. In the parking lot was a bouncy castle that we kicked the kids off and bounced mentally on, ha, and I didn't pop a knee cap or nuffink. Score. And afterwards it was to a Treasure Island residence for South Park the movie. Well 'ard.
