Beef Stroganoff
Here is my recipe for Beef Stroganoff
You will need:
- About 1.3 lbs. sirloin steak
- 2 Cans Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 3/4 cup of sour cream
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 4 cups (dry) extra wide noodles
Here's how you do it:
- Trim fat and gristle from the steak and cut into 3/4 inch chunks
- Place into frying pan to brown and add the onions
- Add the Worcestershire sauce and continue browning the meat
- Start cooking noodles per the package directions
- When meat is done, add the soup and sour cream and stir well
- Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes (don't let it get too thick)
- Serve over cooked noodles with a side vegetable
Notes:
There is plenty of flavor in this dish, but I like to top mine
with fresh ground black pepper. I have occasionally used
white wine to deglaze the pan after the meat is browned which
brings more flavor into the dish.
