Beefy Macaroni
Here is my recipe for Beefy Macaroni.
You will need:
- 1.5 lbs. ground beef
- 1/4 onion (finely chopped)
- 2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 2-11.5 ounce cans of tomato juice
- 1.5 cups large elbow macaroni
- 1 cup grated cheese
Here's how you do it:
- Brown the beef in a large roasting pan
- Add the onion before the beef is fully cooked
- Add the Worcestershire sauce and stir
- Add the tomato juice
- Add the macaroni and stir
- Reduce heat to Medium/Low and cover
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- When the macaroni is cooked, top with grated cheese and serve
Notes:
I use ground sirloin so I usually do not have to drain the fat.
I've found that grating my own cheese saves money, but I usually
buy the Monterrey Jack/Colby combination already grated.
This dish is usually served with a side of cut corn.
