Chicken Mostaccioli
Here is my recipe for a dish I call Chicken Mostaccioli
For this incredibly easy recipe you will need:
- 8 oz box of frozen artichoke hearts (not canned)
- 3 chicken breasts
- 8.9 oz bottle of McCormick Flavor Medleys Saucy Seasoning Blend (Italian Herb)
- 1 1/2 cups dry mostaccioli pasta
Here's how you do it:
- Cook the pasta according to package directions
- Cut up the chicken breasts in strips about 1/2" wide
- Put them in a frying pan and add the McCormick seasoning
- Cook over low medium heat until chicken is nearly done
- Add the artichoke hearts and continue cooking until chicken is done
- Add the cooked pasta and serve
Notes:
Use a little olive oil in the water when cooking pasta.
Do not add the artichokes too late or the chicken will get overcooked.
UPDATE:
I have found it difficult to locate the McCormick sauce so I have
substituted an 8 ounce bottle of Wishbone Italian Dressing. The trick
is to let the bottle stand undisturbed so the oil separates to the
top. Carefully pour off most (not all) of the oil and just use the
remaining dressing. A little bit of the oil is okay but there is too
much if you leave it all.
