Sloppy Joes
Here is my recipe for Sloppy Joes
You will need:
- About 1.3 pounds of ground beef
- 24 ounces tomato juice (2 cans Campbell's 11.5 oz)
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
Here's how you do it:
- Lightly brown the beef and drain the fat
- Add the onions and Worcestershire sauce and cook until onions are clear
- Add the brown sugar, chili powder, and tomato sauce and stir well
- Simmer over medium low heat until sauce thickens
- Serve over toast or buns with a side of corn on the cob
Notes:
I use ground sirloin and rarely have any fat to drain
