This picture is my small Fender amplifiers that I use for Blues and Rock.
On the left is a customized Champ II that puts out 18 watts of tube power.
The customized part is that it has been put in a larger cabinet to accomodate
a Celestion 12 inch speaker. The amplifier has a master volume control that I
use to preset an overdriven sound for lead work and tunes that need a little
edge in the guitar sound. The amplifier on the right is my Fender '65 Deluxe
Reverb Reissue. I set it for a clean tone and since it is also a tube amplifier,
it sounds great. Aspen Pittman (Groove Tubes) calls this amplifier the one to
have if you ever get cast away on a deserted island. The pedal board has two
Ernie Ball volume pedals to control the guitar feed to each amp separately. I
can send my guitar signal through the overdriven Champ II or the clean Deluxe
Reverb or mix any amount of both together. The signals to each amplifier are
sent through a 3-conductor microphone cable and split to the proper input at
the other end. This allows quick set up using a single cord going from the
front of the stage to the back line. The only "effect" I use is the Cry
Baby Wah-wah Pedal. The white pedal on the right is a Boss TU-2 tuner that
mutes the sound when being used and is easy to use on dark stages.
