It is vital that you learn
Norwegian if you plan to live in Norway. At a young age Norwegian
children are required to learn English, therefore most Norwegian's know
how to speak English. Also, many television programs are in English
giving Norwegian's every oppotunity to be exposed to English. Like all
Scandinavian languages English it is their second language.
Even though, most
Norwgian's speak English, the day to day conversations are in
Norwegians, most workplaces operate in Norwegian and most everything
else is in Norwegian. So, you must learn the language and it is best to
begin as soon as you are planning your move.
