v.1 Rockin' Gumby-4.26.02
I found the Gumby pic at gumbyworld.com and made the background using the fantastic Microsoft Paint program. This layout was liked by many, b/c "Gumby is a pimp" and the background looked like a "cool shirt".

v.2 Blue Skies-5.14.02
I made the title graphic with a lovely photo taken by KC. This was a very boring layout, nobody liked it.

v.3 Virgin Flowers-5.21.02
Pic of Kirsten Dunst is a scene from the Virgin Suicides; I got it at virginsuicides.com, though a lot of people thought it was a picture of me. Red ric rac surrounding the pic is off some dress on ebay. The big flowers are from flowerpictures.net. Text in main graphic and link buttons was done freehand. People thought it was a "Great layout! Best one yet." It was my personal favorite & I left it up for several months.

v.4 Mad Girl's Love Song-9.28.02
Kind of gloomy...Pic is one of the numerous cover designs of Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar. I inverted the colors and surrounded it with images of black roses, which I found at sendblackroses.com. Text is an excerpt from "Mad Girl's Lovesong", a poem by Sylvia Plath. Font is Copperplate Gothic Light.

v.5 Death Cab for Cutie-11/20/02
I finally featured a band. Pic is from the Death Cab for Cutie page on barsuk.com. I think it looked very clean, probably because it was white. :|

v.6 i am going crazy.-1/11/03
I stole a picture of a bored girl off of a boring sappy picture site, made it pretty in paint and slapped on some new colors. `voila` This one stayed up for about five months, as the theme seemed to fit whatever was happening so I never changed it. I'm not saying I'm done going crazy, though. I just needed a new layout.
