Note
to the Cast /
Crew / Mrs. M-E
/ Ms.
Tarpley
Ok,
so we had a lot
of pressure as
the returning
champions.
Well, do we
Knights rock or
do we rock ? We
once again
brought home
First
Place !
We competed on
March 7, 2001
against five
other schools
(Waxahachie,
Ennis, Red Oak,
Midloathian,
and fellow MISD
school, Berry).
Midloathian
took second
place, and
Berry took home
third. Our play
was titled
"Quilters".
The
play is woven
around the main
character,
Sarah McKendree
Bonham (played
by me). Sarah
is settling to
make one last
quilt before
her death in
order for her
life's story to
be told and
passed on to
her children.
Like "Class
Action", this
play is an
ensemble cast.
Only my role
remained the
same. The show
is basically a
montage of
recollections
of Sarah's life
and events tied
within it.
We're
performing at
West Mesquite
High School
(2500 Memorial
Parkway) on
Monday, April
2, at 7:00 pm.
Tickets are $2
for adults and
$1 for
students. I
highly
recommend
coming to check
it out ! (I
also prefer
pink roses. ;)

I
am still proud
of everyone !
This was my
last play at
A.C. New, and
I'm glad we
rocked the
house. (Did I
mention that I
won out of
everyone in all
six districts ?
LOL, j/k ;)
Just like our
anthem says...
we are the
champions, my
friends ! Don't
let other
people's sore
losing or
insecurity take
away from our
hard work and
rewards. I love
you guys
!
