Hail to New Flowers and to a Glorious Day!

Congrats, Dave!!! I am now playing "Pantagruel's Nativity" in your g'son's
honor. May your son be hearty and healthy! It appears he has an excellent
start...

...so, someone is bound to ask, "When will he hear his first GG?"

(vibes solo)

(guitar solo)

(theme, etc.)

This tune is splendid for such an occasion! It is very much a birth
(or rebirth) for GG. It was certainly a rebirth for me in discovering
their music.

Thanx for old memories of new days...

Doug

Eay gang,

Just back from vacation. We did a whistle stop run through NYC on one day
catching the Museum of Modern Art, the Village and Midnight Records and
Tower. Midnight has a vinyl copy of In A Glass House for $30. I did not
check condition. They do mail order.

Anybody get the new Mahavishnu Orchestra Lost Sessions yet? Neither outlet
had it the day I was there (August 24-the day I thought the MO was supposed
to be out)

Has anyone gotten a chance to hear the group called "Mellow Candle"? I picked
up their CD called "Swaddling Songs" and i thought it was a pretty good piece
of work. The two female vocalists have voices that remind me of Annie Haslam
but not quite as good but they have a good sound and i would definately put
them in the progressive catagory.

Ah, so Moose you remember my curvaceous shape that just won't quit?
How can you retire on the $10 profit you get from the one tape my Mom will
buy? You must plan on living on cat food and bruised fruit from the
supermarket....Marc
P.S. No Wiseass Chat last night??? Whats the scoop?

I talked with one of my retail outlets here this afternoon (Sunday) and they
tell me the Mahavishnu Orchestra release has been pushed back until Sept.

(D)Although I'm not a typical Yes-fan or a typical fan of rock music by
(J)any stretch of the skin agitation, I can say that (IMSNSHO) I don't
(D)think it's so much 'what GG is missing' as it is that GG just plain
(J)'has/is simply too much' for most people to handle.

(D)Music can only be as well-planned as one is willing to make it.
(O)Listeners can only get out of music what they are willing to put
(U)into it. It's just not worth most people's time - not even worth it
(G)to most 'musicians.' Just my pair of copper monetary increments...

If I only had a copper monetary increment for every time I heard copper
monetary increment...I'd have a copper monetary increment! Later,
mammiecents.

A big boy, Dave! Congrats to the kids and to you.

Now, if he's Number 6, who is Number 2? :) (Obtuse reference to "The
Prisoner" TV show)

Be seeing you!
