The God of Thunder asked about recently read books.
I just finished The Beach by Alex Garland.
One of those read-until-5-in-the-morning affairs. For me, anyway.
His new book The Tesseract, has a note in it saying Danny Boyle bought the
film rights.
Does anyone know about this? I had Ewan MacGregor down for the protagonist
- - even before I heard about the film rights.

Last year I read a book that might interest some of you, The Flesh Guitar.
In case this is not widely known about, this is about a woman
guitar hero and her special guitar. She gets to meet famous dead guitarists.
Erm, this is a lot more grown-up than I'm making it sound, here.
(Not sure if my sister would think it is grown up, however. What do I know?)
By Geoff Nicholson. He definitely knows (about) his guitar players.

Tobias Hill, of the Observer newspaper, is quoted on the blurb "...good
warped entertainment".
It's funny too.

Did anyone find the hidden mystery track (The Secret Language of Birds)
on JT's dot.com? It's about one minute after A Gift of Roses at the end
of the disc. Am I setting myself up for a lot of "Duh!"s? E
