World History/Geography
(Grade 10) (1 Year) (10 Credits)
This course will begin with a brief link-back to events prior to the French Revolution. It will then examine major turning points shaping the modern world from the late 18th century to the present, with an emphasis on the modern world. The course will integrate the study of current world issues and cultures with history and geography.
French One
(Grade 9-12) (1 Year) (10 Credits)
A beginning course in which the basic sounds, speech and grammatical patters are learned through communication based activities. Good skills in English are helpful. Some aspects of French culture are presented in each lesson.
French 2
(Grade 10-12) (1 Year) (10 Credits)
Recommendation: A "C" grade in French 1 or approval of the instructor. An intermediate course in which conversation is stressed. Basic patters learned in French 1 are enlarged upon and varied, and person creativity (both oral and written) is encouraged. Many aspects of the culture are stressed. Practical vocabulary is based on everyday situations.
